Microdermabrasion is a popular skincare treatment practiced by both men and women. It offers fast results rejuvenating skin in only a couple of treatments. Traditionally, this treatment was only found in high-end salons. But today, individuals can purchase an at-home kit, saving them time and money.
The problem here is finding the right microdermabrasion machine that lives up to its promises. With the many options on the market, this can be difficult. That is why we’ve created this review for you. Because really, we want to talk about Microderm MD.
There are lots of new microdermabrasion machines and treatments out – what makes Microderm MD different?
Microderm MD is all the buzz lately. It’s basically an exfoliation system that is designed for home use. Some users feel that it’s taken years off their facial appearance.
That sounds promising. But we wanted to check it out ourselves and see if we found similar results.

What exactly is this device?
There are a variety of microdermabrasion kits that are made your use in the home. But Microderm MD can clear up more skin problems than many of the other brands.
Many microdermabrasion machines are sold with the claims that they will clear up blotches and even out your skin texture. Microderm MD takes that a step further by claiming that it can also help you eliminate age spots, liver spots, acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores.
That sounds like a lot for one product to handle. How does it work?
Microderm MD achieves its results using a simple at-home process. There are no messes or crystals or lotions. Just a simple process…
- Gently wash the skin of your face.
- Use the Microderm MD machine for 10 minutes.
- Re-wash your face to remove the dead skin cells that have been exfoliated.
- Moisturize your face with your preferred lotion or cream.
- Be sure to change the filter every time you use it, or it will become clogged.
When using their wand, use it gently and don’t push it against your skin. Just allow the suction to do its thing.
There is also an option to allow the machine to adjust the suction power automatically, depending on what part of the face you’re working on. Watch the screen, and listen for the machine to beep to tell you to move on to another portion of your face.
After you run through the treatment with the machine’s recommendations, switch it to manual and lightly go back over the skin of your face. This helps in clearing up any skin cells that might not have been exfoliated.
Just like any new product you use on your skin, you need to practice caution when working with this system. Read and follow instructions thoroughly. We suggest you work on a low setting to make sure your skin doesn’t react negatively. If you notice anything strange, speak with your dermatologist as soon as you can.
What Can’t This Machine Do?
It sounds too good to be true – is there anything the machine CANNOT do?
Although Microderm MD works well on fine lines and wrinkles, it takes it awhile to work away deeper wrinkles. It will just take more time, since there is more to be done with deeper wrinkles. Using an anti-wrinkle cream may help speed up the process.
Something else that this machine does not do is clear up acne. If you have severe acne, this may not be the system for you. In fact, it can actually make the problem worse. When the pimples are gone, it will work with acne scarring and help eliminate them. But as of treating acne, consider another option.

I bought this home microderm product after many years of getting microderms at the spa, I normally go at least once a month and always love the results. I didn’t even know that you could get something like this to use at home, and I was pretty surprised to find it on Amazon for so cheap. I normally spend at least $60 each time I go to the spa for my microderm, and I honestly can’t tell much of a difference between the home treatment with the microderm md and what I was doing at the spa. The product even looks pretty much the same as the one they use at the spa, just a little bit smaller.
As far as the results go, microderms in general really do the job. My group of lady friends and I get them all the time, and I credit that along with some good face products for keeping my skin very youthful for my age. I do not need Botox or any other treatments from the dermatologist because I keep a pretty good regimen with my skin every month. Now I use this product at least twice a week, which is great since before I could only afford one or two microderms a month at the spa. I gave it 5 stars since it really is almost the same treatment that I have spent many thousands of dollars on over the years. Wish I knew about this thing before! My first choice was Nu Brilliance. After watching it over and over on Shop NBC I decided I had to have one. Thank goodness I read the reviews first. That product has too many flaws to take a chance with. So I started researching other brands which is when I found this one (Microderm MD/Peelife). It had 8 reviews and they were all 5 stars so I decided to try it. I received it today and used it for the first time and I am very, very happy with the results. It was very easy to use. The instructions were very clear. The suction was very good. I emailed customer service on the Trophy Skin website to find out where to get extra tips and filters and I got a very friendly response within 5 minutes. BTW, because this is diamond tip it should never have to be replaced unlike all of the others that use crystal and need constant replacing. And most of all, my skin looks great! I can’t wait to see how it will look after a few treatments. So far so good. I would highly recommend.
Our Evaluation
Nothing works overnight when it comes to clearing up skin problems, but we thought the Microderm MD was effective in treating many skin issues, and it was still gentle. It did not cause any skin irritation, nor did it dry skin out.
Be sure to follow the advice on the website where this product is sold. You should allow about ten days between your treatments, so that you don’t irritate or over-dry your face.
It’s also very important to use a good moisturizer as soon as your treatments are done since your skin will be very accepting of moisture at that time.
Visit the official website by using the link below to see the current price. You will also pay for shipping and handling, of course. Private sites sell the machine for $300 or so, but they don’t have that 30 day trial period.

How much does the microderm cost? Does it work on men?
Monica
Hey Paul
You can get the 30-Day Trial for $14.95 by visiting the official site here. And yes, Microderm MD does work just as well on men as women 🙂
Actually, more and more men are using microdermabrasion now, as an alternative to more expensive treatments such as plastic surgery, chemical peels and Botox injections.
